Blossoms bowl and plates

These thin, transparent, bone-china bowls and plates, shaped like blossoms, are part of a series comprising a range of different forms. Roos loves to create series like this, inspired by a particular gift of nature, which, as a source, is endless in its generosity. Each plate or bowl fits into a base plate that remains on the table during the meal. The fissure effects on the plates' surface has been accentuated with black urushi lacquer using the Japanese kintsugi technique.
