
The stool is made from well-managed crops of English ash and hand-coppiced Kentish hazel, kept in the round. The legs were hand-hewn with an axe to a tapering point, revealing the white hazel wood beneath the bark. Each leg has been neatly wedged, making the stool strong and light.
