Frozen Morning Light

One morning, looking across the grass behind his house, Rob Thalen was captivated by the sparkles of ice crystals glistening in the light. “How can I capture this ‘image' in the design of a silver vessel?” he wondered. After working on sketches and exploring options, Rob and his brother Jaap came up with a design composed of 30 kg of silver and 300 diamonds to create the sparkling effect of morning dew.
