A mirror with undulating edges was placed on a piece of beige Tassin leather. Marie embroidered the leather with silver and gilded copper wire and perforated and embossed the surface with irregular rippling shapes. The inspiration for Marie's designs is drawn from her continuous contemplation and observation of the world around her. She transcribes the rhythms, order and disorder of the perceived elements, particles and cells into her leather creations.
