Technicolor fossil

The frog that emerges on the surface of this boulder-looking vase is intended to resemble a fossil that has remained intact throughout the millennia. The plain green sections are cut from the same piece of rock, while the marquetry is made using chalcedony, yellow and burnt jasper, fossil wood, pyrite and green serpentinite.
