Melt cabinet

For the Melt cabinet, industrially treated pine is transformed into a unique artistic composition. The cabinet was inspired by the metamorphosis of water and the image of ice being melted by rain. The surface was built from hundreds of pine rods glued together one at a time to form multiple layers. This time-consuming method enabled Antrei Hartikainen to create the three-dimensional, fluid movement on the surface.
