Shadow earrings

Referencing the shapes and forms of antique jewellery Katy creates a shadow of historical jewellery. The places where precious stones would be are left empty and silver left tarnished. She begins to question the presumed power and value of these pieces. They are empty promises in a time where wealth was mostly owned by men, and women's influence was fleeting and fragile.
