Light and shadows 1

These two thrown porcelain bowls are adorned with relief decoration and silk screen transfers. Pots and dishes are familiar daily objects. By placing them in a new context, stripping them of their functionality by adding texture, colour and form, a dualistic feeling arises within the viewer, one of recognition yet alienation. The viewer has a new interpretation from the associations, which the object evokes.
