Neckpiece – Lavater Collection

Valentina Romen's Lavater collection was inspired by Johann Caspar Lavater's work on physiognomy. The idea of this cast red bronze neckpiece is that the uniqueness of face traits lends itself to free interpretation, and what at first appears like an irrational line hanging from a necklace will slowly become a specific and familiar face to its observer.
