Tappeto Bisaccia carpet

This carpet is entirely woven by hand by Isabella Frongia using a local technique known as Tauledda. Using this ancestral technique, Isabella weaves the warp and the weft of the carpet from cotton. She uses wool to weave the intricate geometric design as well as velvet for the finishings.
