San Sisto

This mosaic, made with smalti on wood, is handcrafted following a traditional Byzantine mosaic technique. The mosaic panel, an interpretation of the Madonna Advocata, 7th century icon at Nostra Signora del Rosario, Rome, won the Friul Ovest Bank prize.
