Thales vase, named after Thales, the philosopher of water, is a dark terracotta container topped by a blue and white porcelain micro-vase representing gushing water. The micro-vase is made by pouring the porcelain onto a fabric and then letting each piece take its shape during firing. The dark container is hand thrown. The work is the result of a collaboration between Emanuela Sala and Capodimonte school of ceramics.
