This glass vase is crafted from two vases. The second – yellow – vase is blown into the outer green vase. The thermic shock created when placing the molten hot glass against the previously formed vase, causes the green one to crack. But Bernard Heesen heats the combined form immediately afterwards, melting the cracks together.
