Hand painted lamp with gold leaf

This lamp by Natasha Mann is painted using natural pigments with egg tempera and 24 carat gold leaf. The predominant colours are a pale green earth from France and a yellow and orange ochre from Morocco. The star shapes are embellished with 24 carat gold leaf. The design features a geometric repeat pattern found in Morocco and al-Andalus. It is handcrafted from poplar wood in the UK and is fitted with a bayonet light fitting.
