Heaven is a Circle, Earth is a Square

This is a wall sculpture made of Teflon mesh, eco-resin and pure gold-leaf. The object was made as a reference to the Chinese adage天圓地方 “Heaven is a Circle, Earth is a Square” expressed by Neolithic jade disks. Gold leaf is glued on the Teflon mesh and overlapped in five layers to express movement towards the centre. Black is for the universe and gold means eternity.
