Roumon

This powerful piece was created for the Sakura Gate of Dazaifu Tenmangu, a Shinto shrine in Fukuoka prefecture, with an abundance of native flowers: protea, guzmania, allium, cast-iron plant and dracaena. It's characterised by a very detailed leaf work: rolled leaves on the base and layered leaves containing the flowers.
