Created from a decayed piece of sycamore, this sculpture was inspired by the patterns and colours left behind in the timber by fungus. This contrast is mirrored in the smooth top that contrasts vividly to the textured underside. The shape of the sculpture was guided by the wood, utilizing as much healthy timber as possible.
