The Tender Embrace
This blue sculptural glass piece was cast and then cold worked. The finished piece was placed on a metal support. It was commissioned by the Confartigianato as a gift to Pope Francis on the occasion of his visit to Turin during the Exhibition of the Shroud. Chiara Ferraris worked with metalworker Andrea Scarpellini to create the piece.
