Monochrome Aesculus (bowl)

This glass piece is composed of extremely fine lines, giving it a thinly striped look with curves following the shape of the bowl. The edges go upward while the base is small, giving the piece a subtle sense of balance, as if it were in a constant state of bare stability. It is made using a Swedish Overlay, as well as a sand carved glass technique.
