This traditionally hand woven rug, with the motif of a cobra, was created in collaboration with illustrator Mantraste. Celia Esteves & Claudia Vilas Boas continue to perpetuate a Portuguese tradition of rug making using simple, randomly chosen recycled materials from textile factories. They work in close collaboration with designer and illustrators to create a collection of rugs with contemporary designs and motifs. The essence of GUR is to make these typical Portuguese rugs more fun.
