Ginkgo biloba is the oldest living plant species on Earth. Sacred to Buddhists and often used to protect the holy places of the East, it is a symbol of resistance, of the union of opposites. These characteristics and symbols inspired Alessandro Rametta to craft this monumental sculpture, depicting the typical two-lobed ginkgo leaves.
