Light cones, Hamburger Hof

Shaped like the funnel of a large ship, this red lighting installation makes use of natural daylight and hidden electric lights to confer an attractive glow in the Hamburger Hof shopping centre on the Jungfernstieg promenade in Hamburg. The challenge for Enno was to create a paint that could rival the strength and depth of pure pigments to lend the inner resonance that is characteristic of Ingo Maurer's designs.
