Glass fuser Suzanne O'Sullivan based in Ireland & French fellow Emeline Mézières
Suzanne creates bold and unique pieces as part of her evolving self-expression, often using recycled glass bottles, jars and shelves, transforming waste into handcrafted beauty, which she finds edifying in a world of mass production. She runs her workshop in Kilbarry, County Cork, with an environmentally aware ethos, for example kilns powered by solar panels and zero waste.
Fellow Emeline, a student at the École Nationale du Verre (National School of Glass) in Yzeure, France, worked with Suzanne for two months in 2024 through the Erasmus programme. She is very interested by the use of smashed recycled glass bottles and kiln-forming to transform glass through heat.
