Sanja & Slovak: Weaving

Weaver Sanja Lulei based in Germany & Slovak fellow Slávka Novosad

A graduate of the University of Art and Design in Linz, Austria, Düsseldorf-based weaver Sanja has developed a practice at the intersection of art, design and textile craftsmanship. She is known for her experimental approach, shaping woven surfaces into three-dimensional forms and creating immersive interior pieces.

Slávka studied at the Swedish School of Textiles, specialising in handweaving, natural dyeing and the traditional textile technique of ikat. Driven by intuition and playfulness, she explores colour and surface texture through a process of hands-on exploration of the material to create expressive contemporary textiles.
