Anne & Amélie: Paper Art

Paper artist Anne Féat-Gaiss based in France & French fellow Amélie Le Bris

Self-taught paper artist Anne combines paper with metal foil, paint and other materials to create large-scale bas relief sculptures using diverse techniques. Inspired by nature, and drawing on influences including mythology and philosophy, her works seek to echo the magnificence of the natural world.

With a master's in fine crafts from ENSAAMA (École Olivier de Serres in Paris), Amélie pursues a practice rooted in research and material experimentation. Internships and collaborative exchange, including six months living with an Otomí community in Mexico, have helped her understand how knowledge is passed on.
