Furniture maker Anna Bera based in Poland & Polish fellow Zuzanna Szymłowska
Anna began working with wood at age 14 and studied stage design before working in visual arts and new media. Seeking to go beyond the conceptual, she turned to working with objects found in nature and different wood types, relying heavily on her sense of touch as she is visually impaired.
Zuzanna has a degree in product design from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, and knowledge of new technologies gained through her work experiences. However, she decided to pursue hands-on craftsmanship for her love of organic materials and shaping them into useful objects.
