Traditional carpentry workshop in Mallorca

The course, held by the craftsman Jordi Ribas Ros, provides an introduction to traditional carpentry, a profession that has been nearly lost due to mechanisation. Under Jordi's expert guidance, participants will study typical wood types, tools and traditional furniture, and the different types of finishing touches that can be applied to the material. Then they will use that knowledge to create a traditional chair by hand, by marking, cutting, planing, fitting, gluing, sanding and applying the chosen finishing touches.
