Silkscreen printing workshop in Venice

with Gianpaolo Fallani

Introduction to Andy Warhol's favourite printing technique

The first stage of this workshop is a look at the historical archive of prints, to understand the technical characteristics of screen printing and its steps, from the making of the frames to the printing tools. You will learn to identify the working tools, such as the frame and the squeegee blade, the various inks and all the tricks that make this graphic technique unique. In the second part of the workshop, you will choose colours, and print a three-colour graphic of a famous Venetian palace on a few different kinds of paper. All you need to bring with you is curiosity and a desire to play with colours. Up to four additional participants can be included at a cost of 70 euros per person.
