Porcelain workshop near Budapest

with Etelka Meixner-Hegyi

Introduction to traditional porcelain casting techniques

Visit the workshop of renowned Hungarian porcelain designer Etelka Meixner-Hegyi and create your own tableware. The course introduces participants to traditional porcelain casting technique. Participants can create their own breakfast set: a mug, a spoon and a bowl by pouring raw material into a pre-made mould, then, after drying, correcting eventual inaccuracies and decorating the items. While the participants work, Etelka also tells them about the traditions and secrets of porcelain making. The workshops are held on the first Saturday of each month in Városlőd, but upon request, the event can also be organised at a private venue (in the Budapest and Transdanubia region).
