Introduction to metal working in Switzerland

with Camille Jacquemin

Learn how to model a medallion in clay

The artisan Camille Jacquemin attended ENSAAMA school in Paris because it was the only school with a contemporary approach to the study of metals. Here she discovered a wide range of techniques, all of which opened up new creative possibilities for her. In this course Camille introduces students to the bas-relief technique. This technique is often used for medals or cameo. You will discover an approach to obtain different volumes and depth of enamel, to create a large medallion. This technique is useful to master before learning to emboss with a chisel.
