Glassblowing experience in Venice

with Lorenzo Passi

Glassblowing in the ancient furnaces of Murano

Lorenzo Passi welcomes you to a two-day immersive experience in the heart of one of the most ancient and prestigious glassmaking capitals in the world. On the first day, participants will first follow a 2-hour guided tour of the Stanze del Vetro and its glass research centre on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore. After the tour, the group will move to Lorenzo Passi’s workshop, where the artist will create a metal structure in which he will later blow glass. After lunch, the group will visit the Abate Zanetti School of Glass on the island of Murano: here the master glassmakers will demonstrate how glass works and allow each participant to try to blow glass for the first time. The group will spend the second day at the School of Glass, blowing glass within the metal structures created the previous day. Each participant will receive the glass work made in cooperation with the master glassblowers.
