George Georgiades and Sotiroula Evripidou Georgiadou first fell in love with each other and then with ceramics, eventually opening their workshop Lemba in 1988. Today, they offer private wheel pottery classes for groups of up to 6 people to practise wheel throwing and hand-building. In each session the students are taught the basic steps of creating a pot either on a wheel or by using hand building techniques. The students will also use modelling, trimming and sculpting tools and brushes. The price is 60 EUR for the first person and 20 EUR for every extra participant.

Today at Lemba the couple runs ceramic group classes five times a week on a regular basis. During each session, participants will learn the basic steps of creating a pot either on a potter’s wheel or by using sculpting, modelling and trimming tools. Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays are dedicated to wheel throwing, while Wednesdays and Thursdays are for hand building techniques. Each item you create and wish to keep will cost 10 EUR. The price includes the materials, glazing and two firings.
