Aïssa Dione has been an essential figure in the textile industry in Africa since founding Aïssa Dione Tissus in Dakar in the 1990s. A strong advocate for African craftsmanship, for the past 30 years Aïssa has reinterpreted traditional Senegalese textiles – typically woven in private family settings – into modern, luxury products. Her patterns are embraced by some of the world's leading architects and decorators. Aïssa is dedicated to preserving ancestral know-how by training younger generations throughout the entire production chain.
