Aubusson, located in the heart of France, has given its name to the tapestries and flat-woven carpets that have been produced in the city for centuries. Due to its hand weaving tradition, Aubusson has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and local artisans continue to practise the craft by weaving, restoring and dyeing tapestries and textiles.
