Myriam Hubert orginally worked for humanitarian organisations in crisis situations. On her last mission to Lebanon, it was the visit of a mosaic workshop that inspired her towards the path of craftsmanship. Already fascinated by the heritage of ancient civilisations, the discovery of this ancient knowhow awakened her desire to learn the art of chiselling. Myriam then trained in working with various materials, and glass quickly became her favourite. Over these years of experimenting, she gradually refined her own concept: glass marquetry. Her unique process is where the art of stained glass and mosaic meet to form decorative wall panels. Designed for interiors, Myriam's pieces explore plays of light and colours. She also works on incorporating mirrors into glass.
