Guido Polloni, an expert in harnessing light and colour through glass, established his namesake stained glass atelier in Florence in 1919. The legacy continued in 1947 when son-in-law Sergio Papucci, an accomplished glass decorator and educator, joined the atelier. Together, they have developed Guido Polloni's distinctive approach to both traditional craftsmanship and innovative glass artistry, establishing a reputation for exceptional quality.

Today, Guido Polloni crafts bespoke stained glass windows, decorative veils, mosaics and glass furnishings using both time-honoured and contemporary techniques. Their portfolio encompasses custom commissions and restoration projects for ecclesiastical buildings, cathedrals and civic spaces throughout Italy and internationally. The atelier is active both in creating contemporary works and also in carrying out conservation of historical glass, preserving centuries-old techniques whilst embracing modern applications.
