Emmanuelle Roule stands out for her multidisciplinary practice, which blends art direction, design and contemporary creation. Trained in applied arts, she also has a master’s degree in graphic design. Emmanuelle founded her own creative studio in 2012 to explore the dialogue between objects, design and space. She turned to ceramics because she was driven by a desire to reconnect with a hands-on approach. "Clay quickly became a field of experimentation and research, that I developed in parallel to my art direction work," explains Emmanuelle. Her ceramic practice is grounded in an exploration of the material itself, where clay’s intrinsic properties and the transformation process hold a key role. Through objects, as well as text and images, Emmanuelle seeks to bring meaning and depth by crafting mindful pieces that spark dialogue around environmental issues.
