In the Loire Valley, known as the Garden of France, master basketweaver Catherine Romand cultivates and works with willow, perpetuating a rare craft practised by fewer than two hundred artisans in France. Harvested in winter and patiently prepared over the following months, the willow is transformed into supple strands ready for weaving. To create the object Le Pin Osier, Catherine and the Maison intertwined their expertise: around a leather base crafted by Delvaux artisans, Catherine and her atelier wove the willow from the base up, incorporating supple leather strips into the braid. The final silhouette celebrates a spirit of lightness and freedom, revealing the enduring beauty that emerges when nature and craftsmanship enlace.
