Where do you find your inspiration?
My inspiration stems from the human body, where silhouettes echo fluid lines, movement and vitality. I draw my palette from nature. Marine creatures, butterflies, and flowers are all sources of inspiration for me as I aim to reproduce organic rhythms into vibrant art.
How do you choose the materials for your creations?
I use metal as a skeletal framework because it enables sculpting movement into robust structures with precision and elegance. Murano glass, on the other hand, adds another dimension to each piece, and as it is tied to my Venetian heritage it also holds personal meaning for me. Together, the two materials create harmonious balance.
Do you remember when you first gained interest in this craft?
I believe that my interest in this craft was born out of necessity. I needed a way to bring my ideas to life. Metalworking let me shape my ideas, reflecting my way of drawing and capturing buoyancy and energy. That is why I became determined to master it.
How do you envision the future of your craft?
I believe there is ample room for it. As people are rediscovering the value of investing in authentic items, there is a return to handcrafted, unique pieces, sparking curiosity for older techniques. I believe combining traditional metalworking with a modern touch will be key for securing the longevity of the craft.
