The colour of resolve
- Alexander is passionate about providing excellent customer service
- Almost every product he sends out results in at least one new order
- Some of his bags come with a pocket knife, a mechanical pencil, a flashlight, and a small pipe
Living and working in Lindau, on the shores of Lake Constance, Alexander von Bronewski is a native of the city. Like several other professions he previously practised, he learned his craft auto didactically. After school, Alexander worked at an auction house and pioneered SEO and online marketing there because of his knowledge of IT. During this auction house experience, he also developed a passion for design and excellent customer service. After working as a boat builder and in aviation, he discovered high-quality leather processing by making belts for another business idea he had at the time. Belts turned into women’s handbags, and before he knew it, he was running a successful business. His leather works have gained a cult following. The key to his success is not just the quality and robust design of his products, but also his ability to maintain a close relationship with his enthusiastic customers.

INTERVIEW
Customers can be sure of what they will receive from me. Having a robust structure, quality craftsmanship inside and out, and a perfect shape are paramount to me. The inside pockets of my bags contain a manufactured pocket knife, a mechanical pencil, a flashlight, and a newly added small pipe.
I enjoy trying new things, and leather processing was captivating right from the start. The craft provides me with so many opportunities that I do not get bored, and I have had enthusiastic customers and full order books since the beginning.
Whenever I am in the workshop, I lose track of time and space and move very purposefully towards the completion of each piece. By working this way, I can estimate quite well how many pieces I can produce within a certain timeframe. This results in a flexible schedule, which gives me a lot of freedom.
Doing this proves to me that I can create products that become more beautiful with time. I have a preference for handmade fasteners rather than zippers. Since my work is fairly indestructible, I have never experienced any serious damage.
