Environmental Explorations

This sculpture by Vipul Kumar was hand built from porcelain by pinching and modelling, then gas-fired. Mineral glazes created green, white and rust-coloured surfaces with cratered, weathered textures. Evoking coral, eroded stone and scorched earth without being tied to a specific landscape, the work reflects on ecological damage, geological forces and nature’s resilience.
