Esposto in A RAINBOW OF FORMS
Paper pulp
This sculpture by Vāhe Ensemble was hand built from waste paper pulp and natural binders in successive layers, and slowly dried. The surface was left unpolished to preserve creases, stains, grain and density. Reinterpreting the age-old craft of papier-mâché through modern abstraction, the work gives paper pulp a bold sculptural presence.
