This vase by Alessandro Ciffo was handcrafted from pigmented platinum-cured silicone. Individual elements were cut, arranged and cold-fused between layers of liquid silicone, to reinterpret the murrine glass technique. Reimagining murrine through an unconventional material, the work explores the dialogue between tradition and modernity, technical expertise and experimentation, at the intersection of art and design.
