This embroidery work combines mulberry, wild and tussar silk threads with natural cocoons. Inspired by Hangzhou’s West Lake, fibres are layered, wrapped and interlaced to form fish, lotus, vines and grasses. It took 8,800 hours to embroider. This artwork was customised for the Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou Center and is now on display in the VIP dining suites of its Chinese restaurant.
