This terracotta wall plate is titled Pechar Poribar, meaning Owl Family in Bengali. It is a circular plate carved with a repetitive technique, depicting a family of owls peeking out from the surrounding leaves of their nest. The eyes and beaks are formed by shaping small clay spheres and adding them by hand, giving each bird character. The warm earthen surface and layered relief celebrate family, wisdom and the quiet charm of forest life.
