Sea of the mother
This coiled form was woven over a nine-month period. It grew stitch by stitch, starting from the base, and moving toward the flared top. Red lines radiate upward from an orange opening at the base, while a wedge of muted green follows the contours of the weave along one side. Its shape, colours and lines allude to the female body, the flow of the tides, the ridges of the land and the pulsing blood system.
