This curved, spiralling form, designed as a wall hanging, was woven using waxed linen twine. It takes the shape of a cochlea, the inner ear cavity responsible for hearing. The piece was started with just four threads at the centre of the vortex and by the time it reached maximum size, its diameter and form had expanded to over 300 threads.
