This book is made from paper that has been hand made from lotus root, kozo and cotton. A central pop-up lotus, scaled to the size of the ideal bound foot shifts from light to dark. The petal imagery combines 1970s x-rays of bound feet with Colette Fu’s own feet, with gold applied to select reverses.
