This flowing, organic-shaped pendant is crafted using mitsuro hikime, a traditional Japanese lost-wax technique. Hand-sculpted wax is cast in sterling silver, then cleaned and finished with a soft white patina. The object’s lines are sanded and burnished to give a high polish and contrast. 24k gold leaf is carefully fused onto the silver, and then the object is suspended from a red hand-braided Japanese silk cord.
