Shizen-nerikomi flower vase
This Bizen ware flower vase is unglazed and was fired in a wood kiln, giving it a bright, natural clay colour. It has three spiral sides. The surface has a rough, natural texture from unrefined clay. The red marks are created by rice straw wrapped around the piece during firing.
